I’m Heidi, mother to Harry and Forest, wife to Jac and a nurse turned photographer based in Bristol, UK.
As a nurse, I’ve never had much of an outlet for the creative fire burning inside of me, I’d always loved photography, but it wasn’t until I became a mother that the passion really took hold. Life slowed somewhat and the seemingly mundane moments became something of real beauty to me. Capturing Harry’s firsts and lasts, preserving the small details that would otherwise fade in my memory and trying to epitomise the feelings we felt in the first two years of his life became such a big part of my life. It was here that I made a realisation; it was time to unify two of my greatest loves.

I am captivated by the parent and child bond, it’s so incredibly beautiful and raw.
That intimate, skin on skin, oxytocin inducing connection is so powerful and emotive and for me it is a story that should be told time and time again.Whether it be a father pressing his newborn tightly against his chest, quietly in awe of his newest and greatest love. An expectant parent, preparing to fall in love for a lifetime. Or a family unit with a love for each other that has no bounds. These stories are all so charming to me and capturing the essence of these transient states of being is an expression of how I feel about being a parent myself.
Photography is my way of expressing my admiration for the people I meet and the wonderful moments I observe. Transforming them into everlasting pieces of art to cherish forever.

I love all things parenthood, breastfeeding, pregnancy and baby and I love to capture the love stories that centre around them.
I firmly believe in the importance of putting yourselves in the frame during these transformative stages of life, so that in years to come you have these beautiful memories to look back on, increasing in sentiment and value with every year that passes.
My wish for you is simply this…
To have beautiful photographs of a time in your life that has meaning to you. Photographs that portray the essence of you and the feelings you feel. Photographs that capture the small but important details that would otherwise fade in our memories.
