I’ll come to your home, or somewhere meaningful to you and we’ll get acquainted. I’ll sit on your living room floor and we’ll chat whilst drinking tea and I’ll introduce myself to your children who shyly nestle into your side. My camera will be within reach but we’re not pushing anything, there’s no official start and we’re not forcing Dad into any uncomfortable poses.

Your eldest will break the ice first and bring over her favourite toy to show me, she talks with a half smile about her morning and her favourite breakfast, she’s warming to me. Moments will slowly start to reveal themselves and I might reach for my camera. Tiny fingers grasping dolls, tiny toes pounding your favourite rug, loved possessions all around us. Dad is holding baby on his lap and they reach to touch his face.

We migrate into the kitchen to make a snack, the baby wants you to pick him up and he snuggles in for comfort in the presence of a stranger– so sweet, I’ll capture this. Perhaps we decide to head outside for a walk, it’s raining so we chuck on some muddy wellies - there are tantrums as we leave the house. All is forgotten as you splash in the mud, imitating your children and enjoying the freedom of being childlike for a few minutes. We embrace the mess and retain the joy. We’re not worried about the time or the what we’re doing, we’re just seeing the world through their eyes, going at their pace, we always follow their lead. We’re not aiming for perfected smiles and pristine dresses, just a normal morning of your normal life, the beautiful mundane. I’ll capture these moments with admiration.

Perhaps you are pregnant, you want to remember how it felt to sit in your favourite armchair with your hand resting lovingly on your bump, a heart full of promise and anticipation. Maybe you want to capture your babies as they are in this season of life, they’re growing so fast. Documenting the maternal bond is my absolute passion and I will do this as intimately as you feel comfortable with, skin on skin or clothed. Perhaps you take a bath or shower with your babies or breastfeed on the bed or you may just want to read them their favourite book and remember how much they sink in to you when you read to them. I am deeply invested in creating art from intimate real life moments and I endeavour to foster an environment that is relaxed and open to making you feel comfortable.
